Post-Examination Process
After successfully completing your certification exam, you’ll receive your certificate and identification card. Upon notification of your exam success, you must agree to the ISC2 Code of Ethics and obtain endorsement for your application before the credential can be awarded.
An endorsement form must be completed and signed by an active ISC² certified professional who can verify your professional experience. You must complete the certification process within nine months of your examination date.
If you do not finalise your certification or become an Associate of ISC² within this nine-month period, you will need to retake the examination. ISC² can provide endorsement if you cannot locate a certified individual to fulfil this role.
Maintenance Requirements
The CISSP certification has both annual and three-year CPE requirements. To maintain your certification, you must:
- Accumulate a minimum of 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits every three years (recommended 40 CPE credits annually)
- Pay the annual maintenance fee (AMF) of USD $85 for each year of your three-year certification cycle
