View Course OptionsVeterans may qualify for VR&E benefits if they have a service-connected disability rating of at least 10% and did not receive a dishonorable discharge. Eligibility periods vary based on discharge date, with no time limit for those discharged on or after January 1, 2013.
Chapter 31 benefits include funding for education, vocational training, and certifications in high-demand fields, covering 100% of tuition, books, and exam fees. The program also provides access to assistive technology, career counseling, and workplace accommodations, ensuring veterans have the resources they need to succeed in their chosen career paths. By fully eliminating financial barriers, Chapter 31 empowers veterans to focus on building skills and advancing their careers with confidence.
Submit your application for Veteran Readiness and Employment benefits through the VA’s online portal or by visiting your local VA office. The application process is straightforward, and support is available if you need assistance completing it. Once your application is submitted, you’ll be scheduled to meet with a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC), who will carefully evaluate your eligibility based on your unique circumstances and career goals. During this meeting, the counselor will help you understand the full scope of the benefits available to you and guide you through the next steps in the process, including developing a personalized rehabilitation plan to set you up for long-term success.
After approval, you’ll receive a detailed confirmation of your enrollment, including your course schedule, materials, and access to all the resources needed to begin your training journey. This includes any required study guides, digital tools, and information about your instructors and class format. From this point, you’ll be fully equipped to dive into your program and take the first step toward achieving your professional goals.
